Gasket Sets

The Watercraft Superstore PWC gasket kits have everything you need to get the job done quickly and efficiently. If you are not rebuilding the entire jet ski engine, we have smaller PWC gasket kits with just the gaskets you need to save you time and money. We also have complete PWC gasket and seal kits including every gasket you need to completely rebuild your PWC engine.

A jet ski head gasket is a gasket that sits between the engine block and cylinder head in the internal combustion engine of the craft. Its purpose is to seal the cylinders to ensure maximum compression and avoid leakage of coolant or engine oil into the cylinders; as such, the head gasket is the most critical sealing application in any engine, and as part of the combustion chamber, it shares the same strength requirements as other combustion chamber components. The Watercraft Superstore’s jet ski head gaskets and PWC head gaskets meet or exceed OE specifications. The Watercraft Superstore has gasket kits that include the head gasket for Sea Doo, Waverunner, Kawasaki, Tigershark, Polaris, and Honda.

Occasionally, the compression in the cylinder will cause a leak to form in the gasket and the gasket will have to be replaced, or severe damage can take place (a "blown" head gasket). This problem has been exacerbated by the use of aluminum rather than iron cylinder heads; while lighter than iron, aluminum has a much greater thermal expansion rate, which in turn causes a great deal more stress to be placed on the head gasket. Weight is key to the performance of a jet ski so all modern PWC engines are made of aluminum. Engine makers have responded to this by adding a non-stick coating such as Teflon to the surface of the head gasket. SBT also recommends using a spray on adhesive to the head gasket such as Coppercoat.

Gaskets fill the space between two objects, generally to prevent leakage between the two objects while under compression. Gasket material saves money by allowing less precise mating surfaces on machine parts which can use gasket material to fill irregularities. Gaskets are commonly produced by cutting from sheet gasket materials, such as gasket paper (beater addition), Non-asbestos, Rubber, EPDM, Nitrile, Buna, Neoprene, Flexible Graphite, Grafoil, Aflas, Kalrez, Viton, Silicone, Metal, Mica, Felt or a plastic polymer such as Teflon® (PTFE), Peek, Urethane, or Ethylene Propylene (EP). In the past, the gasket material selected for specific applications may contain have contained asbestos. However, none of the gaskets contained in the Watercraft Superstore PWC gasket kits contain asbestos.

Watercraft Superstore gasket line includes SeaDoo Gasket Kits, Polaris Gasket Kits, Yamaha gasket kits>Yamaha Gasket Kits, Kawasaki Gasket Kits, Tigershark Gasket Kits, and Honda gasket kits.
