BlackTip Jetsports Elite traction mats are unlike anything the PWC industry has ever seen. With more color and pattern choices available than ever before. With the Elite series you are in control. You are no longer limited to pick from just the standard cuts and colors. You pick your pattern and then pick the top color and bottom color of your mats. The bottom color will show through when we finish cutting the pattern for your specific watercraft. The Elite series mats are made from the same high quality material as our standard mat kits and also include our high strength PSA.

Colors may differ from monitor to monitor. To ensure you like the color of your traction mat kit you may want to request samples. Custom traction mat kits are non returnable.

Option 1) Removal of snaps from old carpet inserts: This applies to boats that have previously had snap in cockpit carpeting. You will first need to remove all the existing snaps. These are normally screwed down with a stainless-steel Phillips head screw. Once the screws are removed, we suggest filling the holes with epoxy to prevent water intrusion. You can use any of the quick set epoxies available at marine parts store, auto parts store and home centers. We suggest the syringe type that premixes as it comes out, it is a little easier to apply.

Option 2) Removal of previously glued down traction mats: Start by peeling a corner of the mat up from the deck. Slowly continue to pull while using a plastic putty knife or scraper to help you release the mat from the glue. Keep working at it until all mats are removed. Once the mats are removed you need to get the left-over pieces and the remaining glue residue. We suggest 3M adhesive remover or another suitable brand. This will soften the glue and allow you to scrap and wipe it away.

Clean up: After all the old mats and glue are removed you will need to clean the surface before installing your new mat set use some rags and solvent for this step. Denatured alcohol, acetone, goof off or goo gone will work here. Change your rag often so as not to just spread the dirt and goo around. After this wash the entire surface with a mild soap and water solution and thoroughly dry (a day in the sun works best here).

Install: First lay out all the mats in their proper location and check for a good fit. At this point use a pencil and mark a few spots around each mat to use as an alignment guide while sticking them down. Begin by peeling one edge of the first mat you have chosen to install and stick it to the floor making sure to align it with your marks. Once this edge is down you can continue to peel the backing while pressing the mat into place. (DO NOT TRY TO INSTALL THE ENTIRE MAT AT ONCE) After all mats are adhered to the floor of the boat you must apply pressure over the entire surface to activate the PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive). You can do this by standing on all the mats moving around to make sure you apply pressure everywhere, especially the edges.

Care and Maintenance: BlackTip Jetsports Traction Mats are very easy to care for. Rinse them with fresh water while cleaning the boat. Use a mild soap and water solution the same as you would for washing the rest of the boat. For stubborn stains you can use Simple Green, Fantastic, 409 or other similar household cleaner and rinse with water after cleaning.
Watercraft Superstore's BlackTip Jetsports traction mats have a 1-year manufacturer's warranty against defect in material and workmanship. This warranty does not cover fading, tearing or stains due to user negligence. We do our best to make sure every traction mat set is perfect, but sometimes things happen.

If you should have a problem, please contact Watercraft Superstore @866-957-9277 or sales@watercraftsuperstore.net to identify your issue.

Light Amplification
1. The sun can reflect off gel-coat surfaces to damage BlackTip Jetsports products.

For certain applications and under certain conditions, BlackTip Jetsports decking applied in the cockpit and other areas with vertical surfaces and/or reflecting off hardware, stainless, etc., can expose the mat to temperatures above the operational temperature of 165°F (73°C).

2. Lighter colors can reduce the Light Amplification problem.
However, it will not be covered under our standard warranty if Light Amplification occurs.
Other material problems will still be covered.

3. After installation, the preferred method of storage is that the boat (or any other surfaces of application) be covered.

BlackTip Jetsports mats are very durable, but they will last longer, and the colors will fade more slowly if they are not exposed to the elements when not in use.
Examples include keeping the boat in a garage, covered with a canvas boat cover, in a covered boat slip, etc.

Situations to Avoid:
* Inflatable pool toys or water bottles stored long-term on BlackTip Jetsports
* Placing BlackTip Jetsports decking near reflective surfaces or beneath glass such as windshields or other structures
These objects can refract/reflect light, thereby concentrating the beams to a level which can be destructive to BlackTip Jetsports mats.
Use only mild dishwashing soap to clean your mats, if you must clean grease from the mats, we suggest using Simple Green brand cleaner only to do so.
Orders will ship in 3-5 business days after order is received.
